Need some used up sparkplugs - REJ or REL

Tue Feb 14, 2012 6:49 pm

We are working with a V12 Ranger engine for display at Yankee on a stand since we can't find a plane that it fits. We need some spark plugs to fill the holes. Can anyone help us out. These plugs are Sheilded 5/8-24 on the wire end and 14mm on the other. Everything we have is 18mm. Looks like we need a Champion # REJ / REL Thanks, JOE

W O W  I don't think I've ever got stumped on WIX before. Are these things that rare? Is the Ranger inline 6 using that plug? Anybody got an idea that could help? I'll pay the frieght and a little something - something to get them here. Thanks JOE

RR Merlin and Griffon Spark Plugs have 14mm threads on the bottom but a British Thread on the top.
Champion has made special plugs for the Merlin that has an UNF thread for the lead attach but I don't recall what it is.
It used a 7/8" wrench to remove the leads though.
We currently use a setup PMAed by Roush with Automotive boots to attach the leads.

REJ's are what's called out for Franklins. Not the most common thing around anymore
