Don't know if this has been posted here before but I found a video on FIFI's recovery along with an interview with Vic Agather

Dang you are quick, I just posted that this morning. I am in the process of creating a vimeo channel for the squadron.

I was talking with Randy Sohn this past weekend and the best three B-29s were picked out and the final determination came down to which B-29 had the best glass in it. That's how 44-61070 tail number 31 was chosen to become FIFI.

This video is part of a much longer DVD that the CAF has sold for many years. It's called FiFi, The story of the worlds only flying B-29. At one time you could get it through the squadron and the PX at Midland.

Way cool. From what I understand , there are still a few examples sitting derelict at China Lake. Can anyone confirm this? I heard that all the ones that were at Aberdeen are long gone. :drink3:
