This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Next spring one of the aircraft we are going to be working on is a B-25. It is a static J model with a glass nose. What scheme would you like to see recreated?

Hi Chris,
I love Pacific B-25's. Lots of cool choices!
I am gonna go for:
B-25J-11 (s/n 43-36020)
"REINA DEL PACIFICO"
345th BG / 501st BS Tacloban, Letye Island January 1945
Third down:

The nose art:

Model decal markings are highly researched. In case anyone thinks it's kind of corny to select markings from one for use on a real aircraft. I really don't have a lot of B-25 material at home. But I would suggest this one. And I can research more on the aircraft.

Find a gun nose and do Emergency Strip.

MMR, or my relative's plane, "Haulin' A$$" (both from the 321st BG). Not bloody likely in either case, but would be cool.

Since the B-25 was such a major part the scene for so many years,I've wondered why some Museum with a Mitchell on display hasn't 'split the bird'. Do one side in full blown, if generic or factory new and shiny post war ANG on the other and signage telling the multiple decade contributions of this one type of aircraft to the war effort and the post war development of the USAF and other air forces around the world. Maybe with two mannequins standing at the nose, one in 1942 uniform and the other in 1958 uniform 'discussing' the flight plan.

From what I know about the project, a gunship would not be an option.

Too bad

but understandable. There are still plenty of glass nose schemes out there.

I miss seeing the desert tan scheme like "Carol Jean" wore...

Are any of the schemes worn by this B-25 while in service an option?

Our B-25 is painted tan and has been for a few years. We want to clean it up and repaint it. It is not a combat vet, but flew as Passionate Paullette in Catch 22.

Have you seen the pix of me leaning out of Passionate Paullette's cockpit when I flew it?
