I know of P-51s and P-40's., but is there a two seat P-47?
Many thanks!

Yes, I think it is the POF's razorback that had a jump seat added to it.

The "razorback" P-47 is the only variant that easily allows itself accomodation for a second seat. Both "Little Demon" and the Planes of Fame P-47G had them...but only Planes of Fame can offer a rear seat ride today....
This was taken in 2005 by Victor Archer, and I hope his shot lets me plug the museum a bit...

Just curious, does POF actually sell rides in the G?

I think a TP-47 Razorback would be one prized commodity out on the circuit. I bet the Collings Foundation would be interested in one.

I had a back seat ride in the POF P-47 with Steve Hinton some years ago. It was a great experience.

Sorry to bump an old thread but I had one question.....
How much room did you have in that back seat?

'Little Demon' with Ray Stutsman.
Room?...enough, but getting in, or more realistically out, in rush, would not be easy.

Yes it would. There were a handful of TP built back in the 40s.
EDIT- I looked it up in Warren Bodie's Thunderbolt book. Two TP-47Gs were built by Curtiss because of thier conversion experience with P-40Ns. However, they chose not to take on the project and no other aircraft were built. These two factory built aircraft were fully mission capable but carried less fuel because the top half of the fuselage tank was eliminated when the second seat was installed.
Just like the P-51 I think there were Double Bolts converted in the field, but I don't know who many. The only one I can think of is Category E with the 56th FG.
