I have eight valves new in the box and want to know what engine they fit and what they are worth.

The writing on the box says.
Part Number 3485
March 1944
Jacobs Aircraft Engine Company Plant 2

There is a stamp with the number 17 and the letters SPI.

The box has Thompson Aircraft Product written on it.
Then list Cleveland as main plant and then lists subsidiaries...
Will try to get someone to post pictures of valve on photo bucket.
Tried to post some on here, but they did not take..
No idea if it is a intake or exhaust valve..

IF you Send me an email I will send the photos.

Thanks

Everyone I have talked to think the valves go to a Jacobs radial. I contacted Air Repair and they cannot confirm it is a Jacobs valve just by the part number and I am shipping one to them for identification.
Will keep you posted and thanks for the help.
Well, air Repair cannot identify the valve.. , so back to the drawing board...

Probably an R-755 7 cylinder 'Shakey Jake' like used on a CESSNA BOBCAT (Bamboo Bomber) If they're NOS I'll bet you'll get more nibbles than if you were fishing @ the trout farm with a marshmallow

Yes, New Old Stock still in the blue and white or silver box...Never thought about a radial.. figured it was a flat four in an observation plane. Thanks for replying.

If you do some digging into past postings, you will find a lot of info about Freeman Field, and I'm pretty certain this exchange will bring forth other members with lots of help and information about Freeman-good hunting

The three guys doing the search have allot of info on their face book page...
Will see what they find with the ground penetrating radar. They are surveying the entire field.
Will go over when they do the test digs to determine if they found aircraft.
They found the part pits the maintenance guys dumped their stuff in and the equipment they tore apart to learn how it works...
Thanks
