Warbird part ID help (Curtiss Seahawk?)

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a little help with a part ID. We recently bought a Grumman Goose project from the Palm Spring Air museum. With it came a set of floats, but not Goose floats. I've looked around a bit and I think they are Curtiss Seahawk and/or (by assumption) Curtiss Seamew. There are data-plate looking plates on them, but they are both completely blank. Here is a picture of them and a Seahawk for reference:

Anyway, so part one is to see if everyone agrees with me on that. Is there anything else that they could be that I'm overlooking? Secondly, does anybody know of someone who may need these? Are there any Seagull or Seamew projects out there? Or, does anybody have a contact at a place like Pensacola who might be interested in them?

Finally, does anybody know where a set of Goose floats are?

Thanks for the help and input. I'm interested to see what everyone has to say.

You just may have the last remaining relic of a Seahawk.
Hopefully, someone will need it.

The attach points look to be wrong for a Seahawk/gull and it's almost incomprehensible that a set would have survived in such good condition. My guess is OS2U Kingfisher of which there are (at least) eight extant and one is without floats, hmmm...

They certainly appear to be Seahawk floats to me...looks like some did a quick sheet metal job over the original mounting points. Kingfisher floats have a larger mooring eye on the float's stern. What a find!

My vote is for the SC Seahawk.

The only other contenders would be the Curtiss SO3C Seagull and the Edo XOSE-1. All of the above a similar float design (i.e. small step at aft end of float AND the small hand hold).

I am pretty confident they are not Kingfisher. They've got a 3 bolt pattern on the top with significant reinforcements, seems like a logical attach method that that lines up with the Seahawk/Seamew attachment method. So with that said, nobody knows of either a Seahawk or Seamew project out there?

I am assuming that the Seahawk (SC series) and the Seagull/Seamew (SO3C, seems to go by both names) use the same exact float. I had never heard of an EDO XOSE-1 before, but it seems to be the same float as well. In many cases, aircraft manufacturers seemed to use EDO tip floats, so it makes sense that EDO would build an airplane with this same float. As a side note - did EDO ever build any other airplanes?
