From a person who was there --
"One of our Pink Teams (OH-6 low and AH-1G high) was scouting near O Rang. The low bird radioed the AH-1G Snake and said that he needed to break off because he was running out of fuel. The high bird said that wasn't possible - they'd only been flying about an hour and his fuel gauge must be screwed up. They kept flying the mission until the OH-6 flamed out and crashed.
Moral of the story? ------- When we recovered the Loach we found a 5' Montagnard arrow sticking out of the belly - it got him in the fuel tank."
Sometimes even the most primitive weapon cant destroy a modern war machine.
