Yeah, neat and one heck of an engineering and technical in scale accomplishment, but it's powered by compressed air, no igntion, no plugs, no plug wires. YOUTUBE (for those in the South, that would be Y'allTube) is full of smaller scale engines that do run from TBC (teeny block Chevies) to flathead Fords, but no water cooling passages so limited run time unless you run straight alcohol, in which case, the engine never warms up, that' why TA/FC and TA/D crew chiefs spray the injector with PAM @ the pre stage point to stop injector plate ice ups.

It's been a while since I looked at this project, but there seems to be more castings available now. I'm wondering when one will show up in an R/C Mustang.

Around 2000, I was at the Gillespie air show in El Cajon, CA. There was a guy there casting approximately 1/4 scale Merlins. He had one that he'd run without a supercharger. The display said he was working on a supercharger. I don't know what happened to that project.

I believe that's the same fellow who is running the 1/5 Merlin in the video above. The AEHS website had pictures of his Sabre project, but I have never seen any information or video that it was finished and/or ran.
