I concur, keep it going. Any one know any thing about the B-25 that is still in the Soplata collection? #44-31121, construction # 108-37196
trying to gather as much information on this as I can. If any one has any additional information I'd appreciate it. :drink3:

I am still trying to find out what “A.E.D.S.” means.

From Joe Baugher's web site:

North American PBJ-1G Mitchell
Navy equivalent of B-25G (42-65031). Used by Aircraft Experimental and Development Squadron (AEDS) for tests of 75-mm cannon.

Just to keep the B25 thread moving. I kinda like this on of a Marine Mitchell. Nice view of that single tail gun position

And what appears to be a de-cannon'd and up machine gunned B25G

The early package guns on the de-cannoned G appear to have the conical flash hiders installed. You see them frequently on restored B-25s, but only seldom in wartime pix.

There still is a B-25 sitting on the Soplata property. Pretty much intact other than nose glass broke and critters living in it. I tried to get inside but there was no easy way in so I looked in the windows and the interior is pretty much all intact as well, including radios! :drink3:

Looking at that pic of the G tail gun, I notice that the upper turret has boots or something installed in the gun slots. The photo appears to have been taken in the Aleutians. Is this an Arctic field mod? I don't recall seeing them on other B-25s operating in warmer climes.
