That's still a 'living' N number Al and it googles a few good hits. 1930 Lincoln PT-K residing today at EAA Pioneer Airport.

DaveyMac, there are a good dozen Wacos here that are still around, just about all flying. The white over blue YKS-7 has already been spotted by its current owner in Mnpls. I posted the link to the National Waco Club forum after recognizing a couple of numbers.

Long winter evenings, perfect for scanning old slides.

Nice stuff Wally, a few of those are still flying, a lot of them have gone to musuems, or are now just hangar queens. The Merced shows ended a few years ago, and Watsonville is now just an air show, the Antique part of it is long gone. :(

Same with Arlington Wa., all plastic airplanes now with maybe a couple of antiques. The NWAAA event at McMinnville is much better but doesn't get a lot of exposure sadly.

So what's the best California fly-in these days - Golden West maybe ?

The Ryan ST w/orange fuselage and silver wings is Bill Dodd's STM. I believe it is now owned by Jimmy Rollison.

The Ryan SCW w/orange/black/blue fuselage, silver tail surfaces and black/silver wings was owned by Dee Barnard of Ann Arbor (P-47 pilot in WW II). It is now in California and polished.

The Great Lakes following the SCW picture is of course Harold Krier's N12E. I think it's in the Krier Museum in Kansas.

A couple more down is the Parks owned at one time by author Richard Bach.

A couple more down is another picture of Dodd's STM (pic labeled as an ST-A). The STM had a supercharged Menasco of around 150 hp vs. the 125 (134 for 1 min) of the unblown D-4 Super Pirate. IIRC, STM's were produced as fighters for South American countries equipped w/2 machine guns mounted on top of the wings.

The Little Toot in P-6E colors is "Hawk Pshaw".

I think the two-tone blue/white T-6 was Gerry Walburn's (Washburn??).

The Taperwing w/red fuselage & white wings/red sunburst was restored and owned by Jim Mynning at the time. Lycoming R-680 at the time. My dad bought it after he flew it the first time and still owns it (N655N).

The F-1 racer w/red fuselage & yellow wings (race # 92) taxiing in front of the RWB fence banner is Bill Falck's "Rivets".

Great pics that bring back old times!
