I use Photobucket's free service. There are many others out there also. Do some internet sleuthing and see which one's right for you.

Looking forward to some Invader pics!!!

Or if you support this site (see "Support/Donate" menu choice up top) you may upload directly to this website. Otherwise, as Dean sez, you gotta have a Photobucket or Flickr account, upload 'em there, link to 'em here using the 'Img' choice in the dialog window where you Post or Reply.

I learn more from this site in a week than I do from a magazine in year, so I consider $2/month a bargain. Just sayin'.

Did you figure out how to upload pictures yet?

There is a section in the WIX Hanger that tells how to do it:

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1822

Go to page 3 for a good explanation with pictures, let me know if you need any further info. It's a little tricky to get started (at least it was for me). One thing I do notice is you have to load the pictures in reverse order of how you want them to show up on the forum.

Wow, where's she heading to? That plane has been sitting in pretty much that spot for quite a few years.

After I disassembled it, it went to the Indiana Military Museum in Vincennes Indiana. I posted a story and link about the museum here on WIX. Even though she was manufactured by the Douglas Aircraft Company she wasn't anymore difficult than any other plane I've done. :drink3:

I've never encountered a Douglas airframe that was particularly tricky or difficult to work on clear up to DC-10's so I found your statement a bit odd. For the most part Douglas aircraft were designed for the mechanic or maintainer and are about as complex as a pine log. Lots of cables but that's why we referred to DC-8's as 'Long Beach Cable Cars' and cables are easier to deal with when rigging a system than miles of convoluted tubing, and much lighter in the bargain. Speaking of tubing, if you look @ Douglas tube runs, pretty much the 'B' nuts are all in the same relative location, so if you undo the 'B'nuts and the bracket (without taking the clamps off!!) attached to the spar angle the whole thing comes out in one big weird looking tuba like assembly.

I was making a statement to let others know that this aircraft was just as easy to work on as any other. I should have phrased the statement differently. :drink3:

Yeah, I was kinda puzzled and wondered if you'd been involved with some bizzare airframes in the past, because the Douglas design philosophy seemed to me to be 'the basic technology won WW2, design it to limit damage and continue on' clear up through the DC-10/MD-11

As anyone who has worked on any aircraft can atest to, there is always a part of the job that can cause fits of frustration. :drink3:

How does it look? Now that I have this picture posting fiasco figured out I'll be posting a lot more. There are plenty pictures of the A-26 project, the T-33 project, and some other aircraft sitting around, Oh yeah, and the P-40 salvage! :drink3:
