That was/is her.
She is looking alot shinier on the outside.
A good sign.., hopefully that someone is giving her the love and care she deserves!
Cheers!

IIRC, that one was up for sale not too long ago - pretty cheap asking price, but it was missing most logs.

Looking at Pat Elie's excellent D-Day site it appears that the overwhelming majority of her numeric sisters served in the squadrons of the 439th TCG. There are several aircraft shown without tail number ID...so it is very possible that 823 was one of these.
Her sister 825 still exists and is in the museum at Ste Mere Eglise masquerading as Col. Young's 439 TCG aircraft ARGONIA--43-15159. This Group carried the now famous 506th PIR--Band of Brothers.

Apologies to Ollie for linking to his photo (via Flightaware) in an earlier post which got removed. Now I know why.

Oh, never realized it!
Maybe Flickr kicked the link, they are pretty aggressive about that.

I flew my first revenue trip as a co pilot in a DC3 in '5MA back in 1987, back when she was owned by Century Airlines,I flew her later on as captain for IFL/Corporate Express, she scattered along with the rest of the DC3 fleet in '97. A good ship.

Found her on Cape Cod. What a beautiful sight and accidental find just driving around the Cape this past Monday. No details on ownership or use as of yet. May stop by again Sunday.
