Anyone familiar with the Erie (Mi.) airport? At the corner of Telegraph Rd. and Sterns Rd in Michigan there is a closed hangar and a open hangar. I've seen a couple of vintage planes in the open hangar and they have been sitting awhile. Next time I get over that way I'll stop and get N#'s or any other information. There are a few late 50's early 60's Cessna's sitting at the Fremont Ohio Airport. Anyone know anything about the planes sitting at the Sussex Co. Airport in De.?

Yes. Short grass strip with wires. Owned by Howard Crowe. Years ago it had some old Tripacers in the hangars. Familiar with Fremont also and yes there are some old 172s there. A couple of DC3s also. Bought a run out 170B there in 2003.

I worked on the DC3's at Fremont. They are restoring the one because it dropped troops in the Normandy Invasion. The other one they want to sell but are way out line with what they are asking. The one they are trying to sell has not flown in years and I don't think the A.D. about the wings has been complied with. Back to Erie, there are two planes in the hangar that has no door and both aircraft have had their wings removed. I'll try to get the N#'s and see what type they are. :drink3:
