Need help locating WWII vet killed in Stateside crash

Wed Nov 23, 2011 7:21 am

I'm looking to gather information on 2nd Lt Robin C Pennington, USMC. Lt Pennington was killed in the crash of a Corsair near MCAS Cherry Point on December 19, 1944, his body was not found until January 22, 1945.

I've tried various phrases and words in Google but cannot find anything. How can I find biographical information on this pilot? Where he was buried? Does he still have family?

Getting a little bit of direction would be helpful. Thanks.

Chappie

I believe that was the airplane that Pirate Lex recovered. You might P.M. him to see if he can help you.

Yes we do know about him, his family and where he is buried. Lex did the research and has all the details. You can PM me or Lex for more info.
FYI the plane is going great, see Ezell's website for pics.
