ID Data Plate Folks:

On the Chance-Vought Mfg Data plate above with the C/N 8378, does anyone know to what
Buno that ID plate corresponds??

Prolly the best place for this question! Did the North American-Inglewood factory engrave, or stamp their data plates for the P-51B? Also, what did the USAAF do for their data plates (engraved or stamped?) Thanks!

I don't collect data plates but to add something kinda cool about data plates to the conversation.....

Hopefully we'll locate the sister ship to this one some day......#1640.
