BRITISH AGS PART NUMBER

Can anyone tell me what an AGS 730 rivet is? It is used to attach a wood rib to an aluminum bracket that is then attached to the spar. There is a washer used on the backside of this rivet.
But,.........is it hollow, or semi hollow? I know it can not be a solid aluminum rivet, as that would crush the wood when the rivet is being upset. Possibly copper? Can not find the "730" in any of my AGS references.

According to the GOOGLE machine it's a type of CHERRYMAX pull fastener where the inner stem is pulled up through the hollow outer stem causing the rivet to swell and then the drawing mandrel part breaks off flush with the heads outer surface so the rivet stays put due to constant pressure and friction against the hole. Should work fine in a wooden structural piece, and I'll bet the number could be a hardness number or amount of force applied index, and the washer would keep the tail from pulling through .

First: Where did you find it on Google? I have been trying for MONTHS and have had no luck with any combination.

Second: The rivet is paired with an AGS 191 Burr (Aluminum) that properly brings up the backside and keeps from crushing thru the wood.

Third: I do know it is a 'snap head' type rivet by looking at the plans.

My Browns Bros catalog (parts of a 1920 & another year with NO date but guessing 40-50's) has no reference to this number.

I just entered AGS 730 rivet in the query box and it was the third or forth link on the listing.
Also, really ain't much new under the low grade hydrogen burnoff experiment we all like to see

I can't find it in any google search either or in my Browns catalog. I did find a reference in the LAS Aero website that mentions the British sizing information. Could the "730" you're referring to be the three digit sizing information? Here's a link to the LAS page.
