What I assume to be TXNG CH-47D flew by the house earlier from Robert Gray AAF to Hood AAF. Been a while since I've seen one of their Ds and not one of our active Army Fs

As I posted earlier I was unable to go see Miss Mitchell at my local airport due to a work obligation. Well we were outside all day long for a charity fundraiser and I saw no less than 8 low passes by Miss Mitchell, a very good day if you ask me. I only wish I would have brought a camera to work.

Saw a yellow biplane cruisin' low 'n slow overhead my house this afternoon. Not sure of the type, but probably a Stearman. Looked like Navy training colors. Overall Trainer Yellow with red stripes on the wings about where the struts are and blue vertical tail and rudder. Nice! :D

Yesterday, mid morning I saw the Columbia KV-107, N184CH and the Sky Crane at Huntsville, Texas airport. They were sitting out on the ramp where you could see them really good from US75 north "to I-45". I passed by and did a double take, almost hitting another truck.

This afternoon sitting in uncharacteristically hot and humid weather with all the doors and windows open I heard a humming throbbing noise of a large propeller driven aircraft and made it to the door in time to see the Collings Foundation B-24 making slow right turn about a mile away.

Leaving work in far northeast Dallas to go to lunch about 1115 local time, an AT-6 (the WW2 variety from NAA) flew over westbound at perhaps 2,500 feet. Finish was either NMF or silver paint, with a red vertical tail and rudder. Too far away to see any markings or insignia. Nice to see and hear! :D

I saw a B-17 go over. I thought it's probably T-Bird. Then it came back over, and I got out the binocs to be sure. Yup, T-Bird. Then another B-17 flew over. I knew who that was, but went ahead and took a look since I had the big eyes in my hand, and it sure was purdy to watch good old Raiders go rumbling past. I love it that spotting -- and hearing -- a B-17 flying isn't any particularly rare thing around here, but I don't reckon there are too many places in the world where you gotta double check to see WHICH B-17 it is. And then some days you get both of them! Life is sweet! 8)

(Must me Press Day at Ellington, getting ready for WOH. I'll be out of town, so who cares....... :P )

Cavanaugh's T-6G out for an experience flight. You'll see either it, their Stearman, or both, up most days of the week.
