Prelim report on the NTSB data site for the B-25 incident.

Still scratching my head why they were so concerned about censoring any discussion on that?

NTSB prelim indicates the drag strut failed.....it happens - in fact, that is exactly what happened to Dan Gryder's DC-3 a few years ago. The aftermath was handled very differently however. Why try to sweep it under the rug?

They will go directly to the FAA, RENO officials and eyewitnesses.

I can confirm this as several media outlets went to forums where a couple of disgruntled former employees were throwing mud .

Doesn't mean it was WIX. I swear you people like to complain more about what not to say then to actually talk about what happened in a professional manner.

I am really sure again that every new agencies uses WIX as it's sole source ( NOT ). Come on man, give me a break.

Not really- sitting around your coffee table you are in a closed group of people and know who is listening. ON the Wonderfull World Wide Web you have no idea who will see what you write and no control over it disemination.

This is not about telling you what you can and cannot say and sensship, but rather asking you to take into account and respecting the folks that have been directly impacted by this tragedy and not making it worse for them.

If you guys really want to continue your conversation about who, what and why things should or should not be said on WIX or any other public forum you are more than welcome to start another topic...Let's try and stay on point here in this thread.
Thanks

Condolences and prayers for all the folks lost and for the people hurt and still with us.

Leeward, his family and the crew who work on his plane are in our prayers.

It has been a rough year...

I will not pretend that it hasn't given me pause for thought, but the thought is KEEP 'EM FLYING SAFELY and don't do nothin' dumb.

Speculation. Making aviation safer for 100+ years.

Trim failure/runaway is a real issue fast or slow and we all can learn from it. As I asked.....how about the sonic flow over the elevator and elevator movement causing early (pre mach) flow issues? I want to know more about that possibility.

I don't know how many times I re-thought doing something because the situation reminded me of the beginning of an accident report.

Amen, otherwise all we'd have is:
Crash. Condolences. Wait for the report.

Freedom of speech in the United States is protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution and by many state constitutions and state and federal laws, with the exception of obscenity, defamation, incitement to riot, and fighting words, as well as harassment, privileged communications, trade secrets, classified material, copyright, patents, military conduct, commercial speech such as advertising, and time, place and manner restrictions.

Criticism of the government and advocacy of unpopular ideas that people may find distasteful or against public policy, such as racism, sexism, and other hate speech are almost always permitted. There are exceptions to these general protections, including the Miller test for obscenity, child porrnnography laws, speech that incites imminent lawless action, and regulation of commercial speech such as advertising. Within these limited areas, other limitations on free speech balance rights to free speech and other rights, such as rights for authors and inventors over their works and discoveries (copyright and patent), protection from imminent or potential violence against particular persons (restrictions on fighting words), or the use of untruths to harm others (slander). Distinctions are often made between speech and other acts which may have symbolic significance.

Please read and I see nothing wrong with discussing these events in a positive manner......

New unreal footage as shown on the Today Show today. It's been said before but this Video points out from the impact this could have been much worse, .....but not by much

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kw2CETrj_Ao

They've mentioned in the news that the GG was instrumented and was transmitting telemetry. Does anyone know what variables are being transmitted? Obiviously engine conditions but are control inputs and pilot vitals typically collected by the racing teams?
