I guess that Frank Olynyk's US Navy and Marine Corps Aerial Victory Credit Lists is very rare. Any chance it will be published again? I would love to have a copy.

Upon further research the title seems to be: USN credits for the destruction of enemy aircraft in air-to-air combat, World War 2 Another is on USMC.

My mistake :)

I take it you want the specific book for your home library, as I'd imagine the info would also be in "Stars and Bars"?

My Navy credits book burned with the house but the Marine one was loaned out so I have it.
Stars and Bars lists only aces. Frank said at one point was going to republish but gave up on it.
I believe he was printing them and then binding them himself which is why they're so rare. The
Navy on is huge 700+ pages.

Wow, They need to be printed again since I'm trying to confirm all USN and USMC night fighter kills.

It's in 3 sections all listing type, time & place. #1 by name, #2 by date and #3 by unit.

It seems this man was a genius collecting all that data over 30 years ago.

Bringing this one back from waaay back. I found this doing a Google search for these books. I"m looking for USAAF victories against German jets- Me 262, Me 163 (yes....yes.....I know...its rocket powered), He 216, Ar 234. I found the USAF Victory Credit PDF from 1978, but it does not list the type of a/c shot down.

I have a list of Me 262 kills, found a few Ar 234 claim reports, talked to a pilot with 1 262 kill and 0.5 Ar 234, but I would like to find a definitive list of kills.

Any ideas? I was looking at the Stars and Bars book, but I see it lists only Aces, but I'll probably still get the book anyway.

Would these be parts of the publications in question?

This is the USMC one (List #1) offered for $350

This is the AVG/USAAF (List #4) which seems to cover Asia mainland scores for $800

Randy,

Thanks and yes those are the books that I WAS looking to buy, but not for those prices!! What I am looking for is a comprehensive list of USAAF victories in the ETO that show the type of aircraft that was shot down.

I obtained Olynyk's USN kills via an interlibrary loan.

Bringing this old thread back up for another question.

Does anyone have contact with or contact info on Frank Olynyk?

Thanks,

Mac
