That thing is right down the street from me. A lot of work for one person (maybe that's why it's for sale now...???). The big / well known warbird shops could probably have it flying in a year or two (throw enough money + labor at something and it will fly!).
I heard you could count the number of parts that are interchangeable on the P-51D / H on two hands and one foot.
The current owner made new fuselage longerons, which I guess were quite the challenge (compound curves...???).
Would love to see this H model in the air again (it's been a project for many, many years).
