Haven't you ever seen a Spit painted in drone colors?

Rich, did you all have any problems with Irene? The news is showing a lot damage from flooding in Philly.

Lynn

There are spots in Philly that flood in about any heavy rain.
I'm about straight north of Philly and we got a bunch of rain. I feared I'd lose some trees but only had mostly small branches and a few medium ones come down.
Jim reported that the hangar only had a couple wet spots where we have wet spots in heavy rain.
Thankfully a little better than what was forecast in our region.
A few miles east one of the hockey player's families was without power through the afternoon. Don't know if it is back on yet.
Sunlight and blue sky was out late this afternoon and the wind has died down.

We're expanding the reach of our grounding efforts.
Betty Jane had a Hyd Problem which caused the hyd pressure to constantly cycle up and down.
We found a split o-ring in the inner gear door actuator on the L/H side and replaced it.
Looks good as a solution. Hopefully tomorrow they can test it out.

After helping fix a few items on Betty Jane-
Image
The folks with the CF offered us a few empty seats on the B-24. Of course we got the aisle seats.
Image
After T-O we circled the airport-
Image
We got up and went aft to the rear turret.
Image
Stephen lookng out the side window just forward of the rear turret.
Image
Michael doing the same.
Image
Scanning the sky-
Image
And the ground-
Image
The waist windows are a great place to take in the view. The wind deflectors really cut down any wind.
Image
Post flight as we walk away.
Image
I wholly encourage any of you to do this when they are in your area. We went up with a B-24 tailgunner who we were told was shot down during the war.
He got a ride up front on this mission.

We got green grass and trees, no sagebrush, scrub brush or tumble weeds.
The CF folks have moved onto Cape May NJ.
