Gee Randy, I didn't know the T-45 was a performance turd! Not totally a surprise to me though. I guess if they were to get switched to that, someone would probably switch them back, like when the T-birds went from the F-100 to the
F-105.

I think it would be cool to see the T-birds upgrade to the F-22 or F-35, but as was said, it would be kind of expensive in this current "Do more with less" thinking in government today.

James, the RAAF only operated the Macchi MB326H never 339's. aka The Converter - they used to convert fuel into noise and that's about all...

The Navy seems to operate a few F-5's. Any chance the Blues could use the F-5's? THey certainly have the speed and nice looks.

Why not T38s? They are fast. And agile if I remember. And they are still on inventory, no?
