Hey everyone,
Just noticed the Heinkel He-162 Volksjr (Werk Nummer 120076) that was listed with Platinum Fighter Sales (
http://www.platinumfighters.com/#!__he-162) has been listed as sold. Anyone know who the buyer was and if they have the intention of restoring it to flying condition?
Thanks,
Ryan

It's gone to a museum in Germany, who raised funds through a Government lottery grant, so it will remain static only.

Now in the hands of the Museum of Technology at Berlin (
http://www.sdtb.de/Aerospace.1163.0.html ) with financial support of the “Stiftung Deutsche Klassenlotterie” (
http://www.stiftung-deutsche-klassenlot ... ent&id=131 ). Will go on display on September 27 after cleaning and assembling.

I have always liked the He 162. It would be cool to see one fly but from what I know of it there would have to be enough engineering changes to void the reproduction label and call it a replica.

Don't forget the puke blue paint on top, a shark's mouth and insignia that are to small
and in the wrong place.

Maybe Chris could do a profile for us
