It has been sold. I am part of the convoy going to pick it up and bring it to Kansas. Then it will begin to go thru a complete restoration. I'm unsure if the new owner will use the Warner 185 or put a spare siemens engine he has back on it. It will be great to get that historical aircraft back into flying shape. Then to see it fly next to the owners other jungmeister which is serial number 1!

Wasn't his family also trying to sell a Viceroy (BT-13 or -15 conversion) a while back? If so, did it sell?

They still have the viceroy and they are asking 30,000 for it. Biggest issue is having to haul it out since the runway frank had on the property has been abandoned since the late 80's. Now it is overgrown with shrubs and trees. The engine and prop alone are worth around 22,000. The R-985 has about 200 hours since new back in WWII. We have a 26' box truck for the Bucker and had a bit of trouble getting to it with narrow roads and tight turns on the property.

Any progress pictures on the Bucker?

Is the BT/Viceroy still down in Waco? Any other remains?

Talking to an oldtimer here and he mentioned that once upon a time Frank had lots of stuff stacked in the barn. Still there or getting restored by others?

Just wondering...

Frank's son John recently had a homebuilt Jungmeister project advertised on Barnstormers. Fuselage welded up by Jim Swick. Don't recall if there were any wing parts.
