I haven't seen this listed so sorry if it has already. The CAF Red Tail Project has Thunder on their schedule (Sat. only). This traveling exhibit includes a semi tractor trailer with displays that tell the story of the Tuskegee Airmen and they bring their P-51C "Tuskegee Airmen" along too. 8) http://www.redtail.org/events/

I haven't seen anything about this anywhere, but the Red Tail Project website DOES say the P-51C is supposed to be at Thunder on July 23 before moving on to Oshkosh. Even though it is not part of the Centennial Of Naval Aviation theme, the Red Tail P-51C is a great looking Mustang and I wouldn't mind seeing it at the show. We will have to see if it gets added to an updated aircraft list.

I see where Kevin has posted over on the TOM Facebook page that there will be a B-1 flyover both days. I don't think I've seen a B-1 fly in about 20 years so I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Awesome! I think the last time I saw a B-1 fly I was about eight years old and jumped about five feet in the air when they lit the afterburners right in front of us

Can't believe we're only about three weeks away from ToM. It's going to be a fun weekend!

OUTSTANDING addition, Tom. There is an Exceptionally good mix of current Naval aircraft (including a lot of CoNA/Heritage paint schemes) to go along with a Great mix of vintage Naval warbirds this year to mark the 100th Anniversary of Naval Aviation at Thunder.

Look forward to hopefully seeing the "Mercury" and a lot of the other aircraft coming to the show on Friday Arrival/Taxiway Photography day.

Not gonna lie, I had to google to find out what that was. Seems like a pretty interesting aircraft. Three weeks!

Matt, No reason to lie - I am sure you are not the only one who had to Google on that one. Now that we have an E-6B Mercury coming, I am pulling for another one with a VERY similar designation (you probably won't have to Google this one)....the EA-6B Prowler. It would be GREAT to have a Prowler in a CoNA/Heritage paint scheme especially....

Less than 3 weeks to the show!

Tom, any further word or gauge from the various Hornet squadrons about what they'll be sending?

The schedule is now up:

http://www.yankeeairmuseum.org/airshow/schedule.php

Aircraft list was updated. Looks like the following were added:

CAF P-51C
5 F-18s
2 Ospreys
MH-60 Seahawk
F-5N Tiger
TC-12 Huron

Looks like the following were dropped:

FW190
Cavanaugh Flight Museum FG-1D
F4U-5

Less than two weeks until the show!
