It's too bad that the ARMY did away with the'Silver Eagles' demo team. I saw them @ NAS Callendar back in the mid-ish 70's great show and it all went on right in front of you, no zoom away and zoom back stuff.

how many phantoms are still flying? Just this one or is this the collings foundation?

Pat - Thanks - glad you liked it! It was awesome to see the Heritage flight with the F-4.
It was very cool to see the Sky Soldiers Demo doing their thing with the Cobras!
WDC - The F-4 at Wings Over Wayne was NOT the Collings F-4. I believe the F-4 we saw is from the 82nd Aerial Target Squadron, 53rd Weapons Evaluation Group out of Tyndall AFB in FL.

whistlingdeath-
The Air Force has several QF-4s still flying and part of the active inventory, though most (all?) officially on the books as drones. They do airshow appearances. Sure seems to me to be a really cool unintentional/intentional way of promoting AF heritage without going too much outside of the AF's comfort zone. The QF-4s, I am sure, are operated/maintained in as good/better shape than the F-15s and F-16s in the inventory. Pretty cool deal if you ask me.

Steve -
The F-4 had both crewmen. See attached photo from the galleries:

We were really psyched to see an operational F-4 in the air! I'm really glad the USAF has them making airshow appearances - as tulsaboy (kevin) noted.
