As for C-47's, I'm pretty sure the HAG's very own "Whiskey 7" (N345AB 13803) will be there along with MARC's (N54602 43-12061)

Hey all,

I know it's easy to get excited and disapointed as air show aircraft attendance lists are posted and updated. I've been attending air shows for as long as I can remember and have yet to really be utterly disapointed by one (especially at Geneseo). No airshow is going to have a represenative of every aircraft ever produced. Some aircraft may not make the show and others may come and surprise. I'm greatful that I can see these warbirds at all. (Cue rant on all the work and money etc. that goes into coordinating airshows)

As for this particular show, they do a good job of keeping this page up to date:

They do have a Wildcat listed from the CAF. The Hellcat came in 2009 for the Navy theme show from CA, and it was expensive for the HAG. Those who were there notice a low turnout of types that year. 2010 featured a good mix, no "theme" and we had a lot of great and various types.

I don't see anything listed from Jerry Yagen and Mike Potter though. Have they been invited? It would be real nice to see some of the Potter aircraft like the new P-40 and F4U or a Hurri. Maybe Dave H. can bring something down? :D

Jerry Yagen usually shows up with something. Hope he does this year as well. In the past he's brought the Rapide, Mustang and P-40.

Pete

fantastic photos. I wonder how many B-17s they could get in there. That would be unreal to see

Back in the late 80's (88?) I went to the show with my dad and I believe they had 6-8 B-17's there. I was too young (4 or 5) to appreciate it and was very upset when they where all in the air fly their boring circuits asking my dad, "Why aren't they doing any tricks?"

From a Google Search, I found that Mike Harney had a grown up perspective on that show wrote:

This 1988 airshow featured six B-17s, the largest gathering of B-17s since at least the '60s. There haven't been this many together since, even for the filming of "Memphis Belle," which did a good job of making you believe they used more than the five B-17s they did have. I took this shot of the tails of all six at about 7:30 on the first morning after all had arrived, just after the fog burned off the airfield and before too many people showed up. This turned out to be one of very few opportunities during the long weekend in which anyone could get a picture which included all six aircraft without hundreds of people blocking the shot. Austin Wadsworth, president of the museum, still had my enlargement of this picture on his wall the last time I visited. "Proof it really happened," he said.

Wow,
I can say I went to Geneseo 20 years ago. These pics are getting old, and a friend lost the negatives years ago.
