It's lovely, no doubt... although it would've been nice to see a 9th or 12th AF scheme. Still, the full D-Day stripes help make it a real jaw dropper!

Ironically, this one airframe now has received the 2 best paint jobs applied to airworthy Thunderbolts to date, IMO.

Apart from the aesthetics, you can't quibble with their call to go with the "home field" unit.

Can't help but think that it would look nice together with No Guts No Glory.
