Whiteman Apache at Creve Coeur Today

Sat Jun 11, 2011 5:14 pm

An interesting visitor stopped by Creve Coeur Airport today. I don't think we have ever had one of these on the field before today. Actually, I had no idea until today that there even was a reserve Apache group at Whiteman AFB in Knob Noster, Missouri. The WACO pilots did not know what to make of this fling wing thing. :D

No one asked them to 'take it out of the box'? Darned impressive ain't it? I love the shirt from Gulf 1 that showed a head on APACHE and the line 'don't run , you don't want to die tired'

I didn't know they were stationed there until last year at the Wings Over Whiteman airshow.

Here's a good shot of one with a B-2 in the background.
