Not today, but I saw a C-47 flying around Kalamazoo earlier this week. Might have been "Yankee Doodle Dandy" since I think it was supposed to be in town for a YAF member trip this week.

1:25 this afternoon an Osprey came roaring west over YV - only the second one I've seen flying around here. I wonder why there haven't been more flying out of 29 Palms?

Saw a B-2 fly over Oshkosh this morning on its way to the Manitowoc "Thunder on the Lakeshore" air show.

This morning while I was at our local farmer's market, I saw two A-10's heading west  toward Oakland County International Airport (I still tend to call it Oakland/Pontiac Airport). A couple of weeks ago two A-10's were there doing several fly by's and put on a little show while I was sitting in line at the Burger King next to the same airport. I'm sure they were from Selfridge. I love living by an airport!!!

Yesterday morning I saw the EAA B-17 Aluminum Overcast fly past my home heading north, probably to Deer Park, a wartime B-17 training Satellite field.
They're selling rides this weekend at Felts Field.

It's ten minutes past eight on a glorious sunny evening ~ elevated to perfection by the sound of a Rolls Royce Merlin engine as Spitfire T.9 / PV202 arcs around
over the top of my cottage on it's way into Duxford.

It is all to easy to reflect that this must have been such a common site here in 1940 ~ when the battlefield to save England was the sky I'm gazing at now as I type this.

Or maybe I've drunk far too much coffee today .....

I'm jealous. I used to see those A-10s quite a bit when they were based in Battle Creek.

Yesterday (06/04/2011), DC-3 / C-49J "Southern Cross" did several training and revenue flights from Meacham. I have uploaded two lousy videos to my YouTube channel, "N5997U".

Saw a C-130 doing touch-and-go's at Alliance.

Quite a bit... 2 Vans RV-8s, a RV-6, a Cessna 140, 150, 172, and 206 (or 210 can never remember how to tell them apart. A T-34, few Bonanzas, a really nice Stearman, a Mooney, a nice Stinson... ummm what else? There were quite a few aerobatic aircraft too yesterday and today.
