I was driving west on the Merritt Parkway, near Bridgeport CT, on Tuesday morning. I was surprised and pleased to see a B-17 flying eastbound for a few seconds- it appeared to be approaching the Bridgeport airport but there was no way to tell. Does anyone know which one it was?

I thought it might have been the 'Movie Memphis Belle' which spends winters near me. I was driving Cape Cod-Washington DC with girlfriend and dog, so no time to chase it down. I've had a B-17 ride, in 'Fuddy-Duddy' 20 years ago. It's a great thing to see one flying unexpectedly like that...
