hello im new, i work at keyson airways in nashua. Any how just like to infrom anyone that doesnt know that the B-24 the dragons tail has changed its look but i wont give it away b/c it makes it worth more to go. oh yea and there is a C-54 there its huge. wish that the P-38 could of made it i have yet to see one in the air.

well, we came, we saw (not much to see) and left. The F4 was cool, but otherwise, seemed like a lot of dead air time though. oh well....maybe next year will be better. of course, hopefully next year, we won't be in new england anymore

Hmmm,

We sat on the end of the runway Saturday.
It was too good of a spot to leave.

Heres my take.

It was great to see things fly. It was horrible to listen to the radio and the ass of a controller throw his attitude to most of the pilots he encountered.
It took him until saturday afternoon to remember the T-6 ride airplane.
Every time the pilot called in he got asked "are you a part of the show?"
I heard several of our friends get turned away on Sunday because of the lack of clear responses from the ATC. If the TFR says 12:00 it doesnt mean 11:30! When you have a rookie with an attitude that cant handle 3 inbound aircraft at one time turn away airplanes, get someone who can!

Also, We watched a large amount of people stop at the area at the end of the runway looking for access to the airshow. People are really that stupid. "How do we get over there?" and "Can we get to see the airplanes?" were a few questions we were asked by others who parked down the street and walked past us.

And finally, (well not really but I have got to get back to work)
Why do you kick people out of the ramp at 4:00 and start the rides again at the same time? When we were sitting outside the gate at 4:00 we saw alot of disgusted people who wanted to see the B-17 and B-24 take off.
Thats what they paid for! Now they were asked to leave the ramp and watch them from behind a row of other aircraft and tents? Not a good idea to piss of all your guests.

It was a fun time. Wish we had all been able to hook up, Kelly Cox brought airplane cookies and everything! And Tim Cox brought beer!!! We'll have to coordinate better next year

As for the A-4, apparenly it had some mechanical issues that grounded it in a better safe than sorry mode.

Sorry we missed everybody over the weekend.
We were on the end of the runway on Saturday, and all over the place on Sunday.
Between the lot at 32, the deck of the Midfield, Keyson, Wings, running into our favorite MC for a second and all the way back to the beginning.

Ryan, we left! If you didnt notice!

Heres something a little less negative from this weekends activities.

Nobody mentioned the highlight of the day! The high speed low approach by N604VK, A Challenger 604. The owner and a friend were talking in the ramp area on saturday afternoon about taking it out for a flight to excercise it since it had not flown in a while. "Lets do a low pass!"
That was the coolest thing to see for me! The warbird guy! Ive seen everything that was there fly a dozen or so times, but that was unusual!
I work on several 601s and a 604 regularly, but you dont get to see someone playing with an $18M airplane like it was a grumman tiger.
I took about 6 pics of them coming at us and just watched in awe as it whispered by and dropped down to the level of the runway and pull it up at the other end. That was almost as cool as watching the woman in her car clutch her chest as the F-4 went over!

I was in the same spot Sunday but a touch colder and along.

The airplane cookie ended being a big hit at Kelly's Sister Church sunday. The beer, all but one was returned home full. To slowly be consumed over the next several months.

I took a lot of pictures (~300) at the show, but didn't get many of the bombers except maybe during taxi or take off (statics don't really count.) I'd be very curious to see if anyone got some decent shots of the bombers from different locations, times, etc.

I think Bill & I where the only one from the WIX group taking pictures (at our gathering) and other than a few belly shots, all I got was taxi and Takeoffs.

I took alot of pictures but I was playing around with my shutter speeds and was very dissapointed with the results. But I did pick up a few more tips after the show over cokes and beers.

I have to change my brakes on the car, I have to press 2 more batches of wine (about 12 gallons each) and I have to start 3 more batches of wine tomorrow. Then I may be able to get to my photos to post.

Unless Scott can find some good ones and post for me
