This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Hi all, I will be working on revamping the opening page for WIX (its desperately out of date) and will need an image for the header graphic, like this one from the Warbirds Resource Group page (see link in the nav bar)

I figured I'd open it up to one of you guys instead of hitting the archive again. It needs to be of an airborne aircraft, preferably WWII era, preferably with a uniform sky background (cloudy pics are harder to modify) and that's about it. So if you want to help out the site and want your image to be considered then post it here. You will of course receive a credit on the main page. Thanks.

August, I was just a teenager when the XP-51 flew for the last time at KOSH. Could I have your permission to glean your delightful pic for my files?

Scott: Maybe it can be programmed to simply grab a photo radomly out of a photo file. If so, then it would have a different photo every time the page loaded, and that way it would stay fresh. Also, it would mean that you didn't have to pick any particular a/c, or photog.

Sure Dan. Were you there for that final flight in 1982? I always regretted it was cut short before the bird could form up for a pass with Shangri-La. But from what I later heard, we should all be glad it got down safely at all.
