I am considering bringng on a partner for the O2-A. I am at a point in my life with little flying time, but i do not want to sell her as there will come a day i will have more time to enjoy more flying.
Anyone have any advice?
Anyone interested?
Thank you

If you have the means, keep it solo. Life's seasons change and when you have more time to devote to flying, you'll be glad you own it outright. If it needs to fly more, find a trusted pilot/bud to put some time on her.

That's got my vote, too. You don't want to get to the time when you want to do something and your partner says, "Whoa up there pal. This is my weekend to fly and I've got plans, too." It'll go downhill from there.

How do you decide what fraction of the tire wear you have to pay for?

Partnership? Okay, let's put it this way. Think of your FAVORITE person here on WIX. Then think of discussing purchasing new __________ (insert spark plugs, cylinder, magneto, 100LL, annual, tires, upholstery, or radios in this space) with them while they are drunk, psychotic, getting divorced, feeling blue, having a kid, having a parent move in with them, taking their grandkid from their own kid who is going to jail, getting cardiac surgery, getting diagnosed with cancer, contemplating a sex change, or starting bankruptcy proceedings. That's a partnership.
I have been through some of those things listed with my partner in the airplane. From experience, you'd better be prepared to hear the term, "that g*ddam'd airplane," every now and then, sometimes when starting an important discussion about it because that's what it becomes when it is stressing somebody out. And it will stress your partner out at some point.
Taking a partner is like getting married. It has lots of benefits, but if you think it's going to be all solutions and no problems, you'd better not get a partner (and consider a long engagement if getting married).

Having suffered through a partnership in the business I own...I will never in this lifetime enter into a partnership again for any reason. I have spoken to many biz owners, and the first words out of their mouths are always, "Partnerships never work.".
I agree with the folks that say to find someone trustworthy to fly the aircraft. Owning an aircraft should be enjoyable, and a partnership severly increases the chances that will no longer be true. Much respect to folks that manage to make one work....

If possible avoid at all costs. Only heartbreak follows as shown here by others....
