Around 17 years ago I purchased an 11x28 pencil drawing of a C-130H by Joe Plummer. Although it's not an action shot, I think it is the finest piece of detailed C-130 art I've seen. I have since tried to recommend Joe's work to others, but was unable to locate him. Today, I see he has a web site which covers all of his work, mostly 1980's military aircraft, although there is a P-51 print there as well. The site mentions that the detail seen online is only a fraction of that as it appears in the actual print - I can attest to that.

Check it out: http://www.joeplummerart.com/index.html

He was a huge influence on my work in pencil. Really great detail and execution.

Those are just beautiful. I love that SR-71. He makes some thing that is very hard look very easy.
