Someone at my EAA Chapter just reported that last week as well. I believe it is near Niles. I have not seen it, but the member that was talking to us did.

I believe that you probably are referring to the owner of two Storch projects, his name is Oscar Azevedo:

Actually, I think it's closer to Frasier...
:D

Rich

PS - Niles and Frasier are tv character names from the long-running US show "Frasier".

It's actually at the airport in Dowagiac from what I've heard. Haven't seen it myself yet. They normally have an EAA fly-in in September and I was planning on heading down there this year to see what I can find out.

Hope they are airworthy in the not too distant future!

Hi Guys! Yes, my 1941 Fieseler Storch is coming to life slowly in Dowagiac (C91) Michigan. If you are interested in seeing a pile of cool parts and tons of related memorabilia, let me know.
My email: aze@qtm.net and work phone #269-695-7462
Good to hear there are others interested on the Storch.

Oscar

The Storch is what turned me into a warbird guy. Probably the first one registered in the US was owned by Geert Frank who kept it not far from my home in NH. Literally saw it while flying my bike down a hill. Had no idea what it was. Found it in a library book that afternoon. Saw it again in an Air Progress article by Budd Davisson later that year.
