Thanks Rich. I ordered the leather pads that go around the tube where I guess it goes through the firewall (the aluminum one that the engine mounts go through). I just didn't know what hooked the tubes together. I can get some hose from Spruce. I understand the T-6 parts book may be better than the Harvard parts book I have. In any case I'm all T-6/SNJ firewall forward.

Why does it need to be taken apart?

I was gone for almost a week to Lake Placid for a CanAM Hockey Tournament and the Spit was cowled and complete. The weather and schedules didn't cooperate for flying until today. We had 70s and light wind so Jim took it up for the 1st time since November.

Strapped in and found the go button.

1st- It diminishes the desire to post photos when 1/4 of the time you lose all the writing when you get another log in message after you have logged in.
I thought we were past this as an issue.

Let me try again.

We had warm, but stiff cross winds this afternoon. Just before dusk they winds dropped on the surface and we managed another flight with the Spit.

Start up-

Taxi out-

Take off-

Landing-

Heading for the barn-

Having a moment before heading indoors.

I'm trying the new Nikon DSLR we got. Michael is having fun blasting a few hundred images in a short time.
Just glad I don't have to print film anymore. When I was his age I had to think twice before pushing the shutter.

I'm not sure what the deal is with the website, this is the only site I visit that refuses to load using Internet Exploder so I have use Mozilla Firefox to view, log in & post on WIX. I can view the rest of the site ok on IE, but not the forum part.
