Tue Apr 05, 2011 6:16 pm

Anybody friends with me on Facebook probably have seen all the shirts I've released on my Red Bubble page. But for you folks not on FB I'll "launch" my new line titled Aircraft Insignias here: http://www.redbubble.com/people/warbirdwear/collections/50940-aircraft-insignias

For my Red Bubble home-page: http://www.redbubble.com/people/warbirdwear

Enjoy!

Good lookin' shirts Chris! and a nice variety too-are you planning to use the rudder pedal logo from the SPIT for a shirt?

Chris,
If you can locate a copy of either;

Kenneth Munsons GERMAN AIRCRAFT of WW2 in colour, c Blandford Press 1978 ISBN 0-7137-0860-3
or his book on American Aircraft of WW2 in Colour, c 1982 Blandford Books ISBN 0-7137-0944-8

They could be of help for most, but not all older style Mfg. logos. Most manufacturers entry has a nice representation of the companies official logos, some of which are pretty interesting.

Time to hit the second hand book shops!

Just remembered this; a local Hot Rod Club holds a 'DRAGSTRIP REUNION' every Labor Day. The car depicted on th souvenier tee and sweatshirts looks like, say a 41 WILLYS gasser, but they leave off one door seam on the car so it's like G.I. Joe 'yeah, it sort of looks like a 41 WILLYS but it isn't', keeps the lawyers running in circles and barking @ traffic- :lol: :wink:
SOOOOOO, if YOU were to modify an existing logo by leaving off a line or changing the angle of a prominent line or starburst or whatever, should put you clear of the sharks
