Here is a link to EAA Photojournalist Brady Lane's gallery of the aftermath on EAA's Facebook page:

Just devastating...

My Heart goes out to all affected by this, I have folks from here in Atlanta there, we have not heard from, we hope they are OK. Thanks to all for the updates, & yes those pics are hard to look at. Does anyone know how our Warbird folks came out?
Regards
Robbie

Saw a pic with the T-6 painted like Pardues Bearcat sitting on it's belly. I have seen nothing but blue sky's for the 7 years in a row then this. I was supposed to camp out there but the evacuated and now I'm in a hotel hoping they have something going on tomorrow otherwise I am going to head home. They are saying the show will go on and the forecast is great for tomorrow but they have their work cut out for them.

Have seen a pic of that T-6 from the other side, and it is actually in a ditch. Rolled there by the looks of it.

The T-6 is shown in the ditch, still in its gear and looking undamaged, in the video linked to in airknocker's post above.

Not too bad. Most of the aircraft are LSA or STOL type aircraft. Nothing irreplaceable like a Spitfire or Alexander Eaglerock, etc. THere was also a C-208 Caravan damaged.

Kinda callous, that. Like saying, "Gee, it was just your wife that died, not like she was a supermodel or anything important."

Most of those planes represented something special to their owners- a realization of a life-long dream to own and fly their own plane, for instance. I know I would be just absolutely sick if it were my "lowly" STOL bird flipped, bent, folded, spindled and mutilated.

But hey, it's not a warbird, so fark'em, right?
