Ok I did these on another forum awhile back. Can you guess what movies these quotes came from? I'll generally will stick to war movies and flying flicks. :D

Two at a time, eh?

1. "I just hope they have some P-40's in Darwin"

2. "But my hair is still in curls"

Good luck. :P

No. 1 Answer would be, "Air Force". Lt. Tex Rader said the line. He was the fighter pilot they picked up at PH and he was dating the B-17 pilots sister.
I'm still working on #2.

I can't think of who said it or what they were responding to but #2 sure sounds like it comes from Kelly's Heroes.

It would be Don Rickles, in Kelly's Heros, the actual quote being
"But my hair is still in curlers"

I am thinking that #2 is Kelly's Heroes.

1. "Isn't that worth at least a 'hot-diggety-d@mn'?"

2. "And this is the land of the wonderful Wizard of Oz!"

And a real toughie:
3. "If you wanted to buy that plane, you would have to work for forty years. If you stay in the Navy, we'll give you one for free."

Actually the guy that says the line in Kelly's Heroes-not sure of his CHARACTER'S name- is Harry Dean Stanton. Good actor not seen much any more.

Amazingly I actually have both movies.

No. 1 is from Midway. The actor is Hal Holbrook who played Cdr. Joe Rochefort.
