F-15E down in Libya. Both crew ejected. "Rebels" helping crew it is believed.

Rumor mill says it was this jet, 91-0304, 492 Fighter Squadron.

I'm no crash investigator, but that looks like it hit in a flat spin. Sad to see it in such a shape, but very glad to hear the crew egressed successfully.

That doesn't happen often to a twin turbine aircraft...

That's more like it.

Damage from AAA or SAMs does not cause metal to bend outward from the engine bay.

I do not think the rebels could hit the side of a gun with a barn in regards to AA
