Anybody know what happened to the Wildcat that was advertised for sale a few months back? I think I saw it on ebay. The seller said it was found in a barn but it looked like it came out of the water to me. He tried to sell it a few times and never had any buyers.

Conrad, that's just absolutely beautiful and I am really enjoying watching this come back together. And now, for a model nerd question... I know on Grumman -3s and -4s, the aft fuselage interior was in a light grey color. Did Eastern use Interior Green for the entire interior, or was this a matter of expediency for you guys? (Obviously not a problem at all, it looks great, just curious).

Also, it looks like there's an additional fuel bag beneath the rudder troughs and stick assembly; is that common on FM-2s? I don't have any refs at all on FM-2 interiors so I genuinely don't know... if it's supposed to be there, though, then I have some additional work to do on my 1/48 Sword FM-2 kit I've been slowly working on.

All you need to do now is to install an air-stair and some windows in the back for the passengers. Use blue tinted windows so they won't be too obvious.

The two photos on page 9, the tail shot and the one with the vintage tug with the farmland, the old white hangar and few houses in the distance, could be Bethpage Long Island, NY 1941!! Nice!

Of course today it's just a mass if suburbia and the runways as gone...

Conrad has done a ton of research on the colors of individual parts and assemblies. His research, and also having two basically unrestored fuselages, indicated that the aft fuselage interior color was green out of Eastern Aircraft (or at least on the later build numbers).

I believe what you are referring to is the main fuel tank under the floor.
