The A-20 'PATCHES' must have been free French since there are 13 guys in the crew (that must have been snug!) and a dog who's job must have been to bite who ever tried to operate a lever that the committee hadn't approved ready for movement yet, 'show of 'ands, we bomb now?---now?----5, 6, 7 alright we bomb NOW'

I'll toss one into the ring here. June 1969 finds B-17 (43-38635) tanker E61 baking on the ramp at Chino, Ca. She's still around, but known as "Virgin's Delight" and on display at Castle AFB. Sorry about the image condition, Dad wasn't the best photographer and this slide has been stored for 42 years.

Lt51506 ~ we need to thank you and your dad for sharing this image with us now.

I spent a few minutes using the spot healing tool in Photoshop Elements and then boosted the color saturation :D

Wow, thanks bomberflight, that looks great! Hey, want to come over and do a few hundred more? Between Dad and I, we documented the tankers that passed thru Ryan Air Attack Base between 1964 up to around 1986. Thanks again!

If you're family image collection has never been shown in "public" before ......I think a whole bunch of people would love to see you put some up on a Tanker thread ...... :)

Would love to see those tanker shots. A not so top notch photo is better than no photo at all, and with computers today most can correct color to their liking. Thanks in advance.

I believe that was Kermit Weeks' Mosquito... the photo was taken sometime in the late '80's. 1989 perhaps? I remember attending that airshow... it was pretty amazing to see a Mossie doing it's thing.

I think it was 'faked' for a movie?
