There is also a link to the wing pic, its is actualy a Ventura wing that was recovered from Archibalds lake ns,it was swapped out because of damage that happened when it landed on the frozen lake, was recovered around 2002.Intresting that it has the US markings, American Venturas where based in Argentia NF.Anyone know more about the Venturas based there.

I thought that was a Ventura wing! It's got the aux fuel tank in it and appears too large for a Hudson. It will take a lot of adjustments to make that wing fit to the smaller airframe.
Incidently, that cockpit section that is noted sitting on the table in the background came from us. We found it on the Ventress farm in Brighton, just down the road from Trenton, about 20 years ago. Shipped it to the ACAM guys via Air Canada to Halifax and now it's back pretty much where it started from! Nice to see this Hudson getting the attention it deserves.

Hercat I believe that the Hudson, Lodestar and Ventura ,all use the same wing and that there are able to be swapped with a few mods,a group in Austriala also doing this but in reverse,Hudson wing to Ventura.

I would have thought the same but when you look at the Lockheed Interchangeable parts listing, that is not the case. The Queensland Air Museum did use a Hudson center section and also tail components for their static restoration but it did require some work to get the components to mate. I don't know if they have outer wings yet for it.
As for US Navy Squadrons in Argentia, we do have lots of info on them here in our files!
