Think Cubs hit the nail on the head, should have paid more attention before I made a guess. 17 Navion wrecks in NJ since 64 according to NTSB site, all civil.

It's a Temco TF-51D Mustang. Not worth anything without the canopy and vertical fin extension. I'll be glad to haul it off for you!

Found it. Def a navion but no ID numbers or data plates. Not much there to determine if it was dragged there or actually crashed there. Wing appears to have been cleanly removed.

Looks like beer cans would be an improvement!

All the military markings are on it and its been there for a long while. No record of any civilian Navion crashes in this area.

In NJ so not too sure how it got here. Not sure where as it was not my find.

If it is in my neck of the woods I'd gladly take a bit of a hike to check it out...

If it is here in NJ I'd suspect it would be somewhere around Ft.Dix, McGuire, or Lakehurst.

me too. PM if there is anything like that happening

Is that all that's still there? IMHO the rest has already gone to spare parts or pop a top again. With some paint it would make a good planter.
