The TICO Warbird Air Show is coming up this weekend and the weather looks terrific. Although the B-17 "Chuckie" will not be there unfortunately, there are now 3 B-25's scheduled to fly in the show plus a huge number of other warbirds including some great classic vintage jets (F-104, T-33 and hopefully Dale Snodgrass and his Skyblazers F-86 Sabre).

TICO is the best warbird show in Florida, probably the best in the southeast and one of the best in the country.

Looking forward to some nice Florida weather and some great warbird action March 11, 12 and 13.

"JIM TOBUL in the F4U CORSAIR - AEROBATIC PERFORMANCE"

Is the restoration of the F4U-4 done? Or will he be flying a different Corsair.

Tim, I know you saw the new thread concerning Joe Tobul's Corsair. That and what was mentioned earlier on his website:

http://www.koreanwarhero.com/

All seem to point toward the F4U-4 as the performer at the 2011 air show appearances including TICO this weekend. Can't wait to see it.

Thanks, I guess I responded to this thread before seeing the thread about it's first flight.

I'm very happy to see that it is scheduled to be at Geneseo this year. I can't wait to see it again.

I talked with Jim last week, and he is planning on taking the Corsair to Tico, as well as the Punta Gorda show. He'll be going to the Navy Heritage Flight check school shortly afterwards too, so it looks like there should be quite a few opportunities to see him fly his Corsair on the East Coast this season.

Cheers,
Richard

I will be at the Punta Gorda show on the 27th. I can't wait to see it fly!!

I'll get to capture footage of a new corsair with the new Canon HD camcorder.

Over on Air Show Buzz it was just announced that Kermit Weeks is bringing his P-40 to TICO. That makes THREE P-40's planned for the Flying Tigers commemoration.
