The Curtiss-Ely Pusher has been invited to spend a few days at NAS Pax River in March or April, where they will put flight test instrumentation on it and try to figure out why it flies...

Are you guys going to be selling shirts at shows? I'd like to get one, but I'd rather get it in person at TOM if possible. It's more fun that way.

Yup, shirts and posters will be for sale at the shows, starting at Millville, then Mid Atlantic Air Museum, then Golden Age Air Museum, then TOM, Oshkosh, Pax River, and NAS Oceana, and wherever else we go-

Well, last weekend was a time of some great, unique experiences, as we moved the Curtiss from NAS Norfolk Chambers Field to NAS Patuxent River, in two stops and two days. Photos by Liz Goettee, here taxiing at PAX:

And Bob's blog entry here:

http://elycurtisspusher.com/

I got to make the take-off at Chambers and the landing at PAX, very exciting as a civilian pilot to be operating from those historic places. I circled the USS Truman CVN-75 and USS George H. W. Bush CVN-77 after take-off, and wished I could've taken a shot at landing on one, but not to be... Then flew past Willoughby Bay, where Eugene Ely made the first take-off from a ship 101 years ago, over Hampton Roads where the Monitor and Merrimac (Virginia) fought 149 years ago, and an hour later (and 50 miles) flew over Jamestown, where the first English colony was established 404 years ago. Time travel at its best-

Bob has updated the web site, http://elycurtisspusher.com/ . Next stop Floyd Bennett Field, New York City, for Navy Fleet Week May 22-27.
