Cool pictures, thanks!

Actually, there are 3 P-38's at Chino, but only 2 fly. Sometimes, there are 4 when GG comes into town for the occasional maintenance work at Hinton's shop.

Now with 7 actively flying P-38's in the world, and 2 more on the way soon, that will become more common in the future! :)

That is awesome. The only other place to see that is Oshkosh. There are usually 3 there but two years ago there were 4

One of the WestPac birds is going to Paul Allen for his Flying Heritage Collection, I believe...

and to think that paul allen's bird was all the way in delaware before he bought it (plz don't eviscerate my if this is wrong).

in all seriousness, i think it's great when ever he get's any bird. he should buy MAPS or Weeks B-26, ROIs or Weeks B-24, the TFC Beau, Yagen's Mossie, and some of those mystery Ju-88s & Bf-110s. how? powers. you do not get where he is powers. powers.

;)

Paul Allen, or more appropriately his "acquisition guys" work very mysteriously and behind the scenes. Who's to say that that he hasn't already done some of the aforementioned? I've heard rumors that he has already acquired several, extremely rare, Axis type aircraft that are "under the radar". Give it time, we'll find out more in due course, I'm sure.
