Steve Hinton flew an F7F Tigercat owned by Jim Slattery to Chino Monday for a complete restoration. Slattery owns several warbirds including the coveted F4U Corsair among others. We'll keep you posted on the restoration.

By the looks of it, it must be N7629C:
http://napoleon130.tripod.com/imagelib/ ... et=tlx_newWasn't N7629C under rebuild/restoration for many years already?
In the Registry:

That would be a different aircraft I believe than the one I was thinking of. Mr. Maine's aircraft, as linked to, registered N7195C. But I do recall seeing photos of a Tigercat several years ago, while with Darryl Greenamyer, in a similar state of rebuild, which I believe, as indicated in the registry and else where, is the very aircraft at the heart of this thread, being N7629C.

Quite a nice collection this gentleman is building, but more so I enjoy the sense of humor he exhibits in the names of his aircraft companies.

Jack
When Flanders owned it, he never could get it started, Mike had to do it for him. Bob Love use to fly it also. I kept my SNJ there too.

So there's one that got away from Rod Lewis. He's just gonna have to make do with two.

It is/was Greenamyer's Tigercat.

They have a very ragged and used up Tigercat parked at the POF in Chino. It is complete, but every time I look at it I think what a major job it would be to restore.I'm sure it will happen one day but it wont be cheap.
