Harrier's Farewell-Real or Photoshop?

Wed Jan 26, 2011 12:39 pm

I received this in an email earlier this week. I supposedly shows a flyover of the British Parliment by Harriers before their retirement... I can find nothing on the web to confirm it is a real formation and to my highly untrained eye it appears to be the same image of a Harrier repeated to spell out a rather unique message...
Your thoughts?

I am calling BS on this one! All with the exact same ordinance/fuel tank load?

Thanks for the post. It is funny, regardless of validity.

That's definitely multiple images of the same aircraft. All the images are identical. In a formation that large you would see different viewing angles which would make wingtips, for example appear in different locations relative to the fuselage.

Besides, I don't think they've ever gotten that many Harriers in the air at the same time anywhere.

For those who may not get it, squint and look at the pic.

Cheers,

It can't be real because the Brits would use a different 4-letter word, beginning with P. So I'd venture that it was not only a fake, but a fake done by an American.

Agreed!

"PI$$ OFF" or "GO GET SHAGGED" would be more accurate! (albeit this would require more aircraft than the UK has in all of her present inventory) :(

That was definitely a Photoshop job and over here the F-word is more likely than the P-word in those circumstances!

And 330th, no offence taken, some of us said the same thing as you did!
